How much do your cakes cost?
For wedding cakes, the pricing is configured based on how many guests you will need to serve. Our minimum price is $7.50 per person. So if you would like to serve 100 guests, the minimum price will be $750 plus tax (4.4%-8.4%) and a $50 delivery fee. The per person price may increase based on design and flavors.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver cakes all over the Vail Valley and beyond. The delivery and set up fee in the Vail Valley is $50, except for Piney River Ranch and winter snowcat deliveries($100). Deliveries outside of the Valley (Glenwood Springs-Aspen, Steamboat, etc.) will be quoted on a cake by cake basis.
Do you offer tastings?
Yes, we host tastings in our tasting room at our kitchen in Eagle. The tastings are complementary and scheduled by appointment only. You can allow anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour for most tastings. Please bring in any cake inspiration photos you may have, this will give me an idea of what style you are looking for.
How do I book you and how far in advance do I need to do so?
2-3 months in advance is advisable for putting a deposit down, although earlier or later is usually OK. We do fill up on most Saturdays in the summer. To confirm your date, we require a 25% deposit of the estimated cost of the cake. Final payment and final guest count is due 2 weeks before the wedding, any changes will be adjusted at this time.
Can we have more than one flavor of cake?
Yes, you can have as many flavors as you have tiers if you want. I recommend no more than 2 or 3 flavors if you choose to mix things up a little. How you are serving the cake may influence your decision too. If the cake is placed on a buffet table where the guest can take what they want, it usually works best to do the multiple flavors. If it's being served to the guest at the table, one or 2 flavors works best. There is a $1 per person extra fee PER extra flavor of cake.
Can you add fake tiers to the cake to make it look bigger?
We can add fake tiers, but they still need to be decorated and that's where most of the labor/cost is. We would charge based on a bigger cake and how many it would normally serve, so there's no real price break for fake tiers.
How much do the groom's cakes cost?
The groom's cakes can vary widely in style and design, therefore it's difficult to set a price for them. The groom's cakes are priced individually based on design and size.
